Okay having thought about the latest Transformers movie It springs to mind that there are three things that would have made it even better, in my opinion, they are…

3) Get rid of or have less of the ‘unicycle bots’ they just look stupid, it’s not a circus and just because your vehicle of choice has two wheels instead of 4 doesn’t mean they will be 1 legged.

2) Considering it’s a film about a war between giant robots they don’t actually spend much time warring. The only real fight scene of note that I recall is when Optimus Prime fights Megatron half way through. The whole last 15 minutes of the film is one long battle scene and it focuses so much on Sam that you don’t actually see all that much fighting, then the final battle itself is over before it can even really get going. More giant robots fighting please.

1) One word … Dinobots

Okay, let me start by saying that if you have seen the first film and loved, you’ll love this, it’s awesome, it’s everything you want, it’s big robots fighting each other and more robots then before, lots more. Go see it, go see it now. And then see it again. As awesome as it is, small things bugged me So my few criticisms of the movie… see below, NOTE: CONTAINS SPOILERS

Okay things I didn’t like:

1) Sam starts the movie as a bit of a douche, who in their right mind would move away from Megan Fox? And then when he turns his back on Prime when he asks for help because he wants to be ‘normal’ big giant douche.

2) The storyline is excellent but to me it’s like they just took the first script and rewrote it to be a sequel.

3) The end, after a great build up the end is just way to short, they spend the whole film building up ‘the fallen’ to be some big badass and Prime kicks his butt in less than a minute? C’mon almost every other fight in the movie was better than that.

4) At the start when Prime shoots the Decepticon in the head, seriously that’s not Prime at all, Peter Cullen who has voiced the character for years should have said no to that. This is not a kids film, it’s a film for all us adults who grew up watching transformers on TV, and those of us who watched it know Prime isn’t that guy.

Now for what I loved:

1) The action, yes it’s a Michael Bay movie, things blow up, lots of things blow up, and then some more things blow up. You can’t beat it.

2) Prime got his bigass gun back.

3) More robots, lots more, on both sides, the giant unicycle Decepticon at the start is a bit lame but overall everything else works great.

4) The humour, yes it’s funny in places and its better for it. 5) Megan Fox.
